Task Four – Screening

Questions for the focus group

What would you rate this advert out of 10 and why?

Did the music suit the video?

What did you see in this advert that would encourage you to buy the product?

Who do you think this advert is well suited?

What improvements would you have made to this video?

Did you see the comedy within this advert?

When it came to finding out what people thought of the advert, we used a group of people to create a focus group. The pros of this would be that we are able to find out good answers and can tell if they are telling the truth by their body language, the cons of this could be that some people be shy and may not want to answer any questions given by me. Luckily for my focus group I had a mixed age and gender which allowed me to get different answers from each individual people. All of my questions were mixed from yes - no and some questions were required to give a reason behind the answer, personally I think that my answers are reliable because when it came to answering the questions it felt as if they were being serious and telling the truth. When it came to doing the focus group, I liked how the group had a disagreeing moment but then another peer would disagree with the point that someone said and agree that it was fine. An example of this would be when one person said that the advert was too long, but then another person disagreed and said the advert is fine how it is because it looked professional. Finally I would like to say that everything went well within the focus group and would not make any improvements.
